Dr. Jyotsna Sharma, who is an Associate Professor at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, is leading conservation research projects at Watson Native Plant Preserve since 2012. The focus of her lab’s work is on one of the rare and superbly showy orchids of Texas. Friday, June 20th from 10AM to 2PM David Lewis will be here to teach us about what we find at the preserve. Bring water and mosquito repellent.
Volunteer Workday
For the month of June you may join a work group at the preserve by sending an email to watsonrnpp@gmail.com. Put Volunteer in the subject line and tell us what day you want to come. You can request multiple days. Bring safety gear and mosquito repellent. We will provide tools, water and snacks.
