Mushroom Hunt
Twenty-something people gathered at Watson Preserve on June 1 to brave the heat and search for mushrooms. All levels of skill were represented, from beginners to experienced mycologists. David and Pat Lewis did a great job of leading the activities. We hope they will do it again There is no better way to learn more about fungi than to go into the field with an expert. Wildflower Walk
Saturday, May 17th starting at 10:30 AM until noon
Please join orchid expert, Joe Liggio and preserve volunteers for a tour of the preserve's native plants.
Bring water and mosquito repellent.
Volunteer Workday
Wednesday, May 7th at 8:00 AM We will be working on removing invasive plants from the new property. Bring your string trimmer and favorite pruners. We will provide water and snacks.
Gall Walk
Join us on Saturday, May 10th from 9 AM to 11 AM as we look for galls and add observations to iNaturalist Gall Week project. It will be fun and educational.
