They are tiny and hard to find unless they are blooming. There are usually many near the pond on the north end of the preserve. I have seen them right off the trail near the gazebo.

You have a curious son if he's interested in carnivorous plants. You should be able to find sundews (two species), butterworts (pings) and pitcher plants (just starting to flower). I hope you enjoy your visit."
