My Wife and I recently visited the Watson Preserve and were fascinated with the amount of plant and bird diversity in that one patch of land compared to the Big Thicket National Preserve in its entirety. I am a big believer in Native plant conservation and wish I could have met the lady who made this all possible. Just want to join fellow like minded individuals. I live in Mont Belvieu, TX about 1 1/2 hours away. I frequent the Big Thicket often though to enjoy its natural beauty (and maybe look for the Ivory Billed Woodpecker) ;)
